Box Office Policies

The following policies apply to Barre Opera House presented performances, not rentals.  For further clarification, feel free to contact the box office at 802-476-8188.

Special Rates: Special rates are available for students, senior citizens, and people with disabilities. Discounts are also occasionally available to low income individuals through social service agencies. There is a 10% discount for groups of 10–19 people and a 20% discount for groups of 20 or more. Regarding Your Children: Please consider their interest, attention span, and potential for disturbing others before attending an event with an infant or small child. Please note that every person, regardless of age, is required to have a ticket in order to attend a performance.

Student Rush Discount: At certain performances, unfilled Section A seats may be purchased for half price fifteen minutes before curtain with a valid student ID. Spring 2025 performances are Church of Cash & Adam Ezra only.

Ticket Exchanges: We will exchange any ticket up to one week before the performance. The price of the ticket will be applied to the cost of any other Celebration Series or BOH Presents performances during the season (based on availability). Sorry, no refunds are possible. In order to avoid empty seats at performances, we encourage you to release seats you will not be using by calling the Barre Opera House Box Office (802-476-8188). Released tickets may be taken as a tax deductible contribution to the Barre Opera House.

Accessibility: The Barre Opera House is wheelchair accessible to the main floor, bathrooms, dressing rooms and stage, and is equipped for the hearing impaired. Wheelchair accessible seating will be held only until the Monday before a performance. Call 802-476-8188 for additional information. Large print programs and Braille programs are available with two weeks advance notice.

Dancing: Dancing in the orchestra pit may be permitted during performances at BOH. These cases will be noted on the ticket-purchase page. The dancing may cause visual obstruction for those seated in rows A-E. Please be aware of this as you purchase your tickets.
