Thank you to all the folks who have been checking up on Barre Opera House. We have survived the storm with only minimal water damage from leaks in the roof and a messy entry way, shared with the City. So many of our neighbors, nearby, and around VT, have suffered from the flood and our hearts go out to each and everyone of you!
The staff at BOH has been helping where we can, passing out water to folks cleaning out downtown businesses, helping to unload semis of emergency supplies, providing a temporary home for Lost Nation Theatre https://lostnationtheater.org/ , and hosting a Community Forum with FEMA. We have also been able to continue with our summer camps - providing a safe space for our children to grow, learn, and play.
Once the water recedes and the mud has been scraped way, BOH will still be here with live music and comedy - giving you a reprieve from the heartache and stress from today.
