Vermont Burlesque Festival’s 2027 Granite City Showcase “Fire & Ice"

The Vermont Burlesque Festival returns to the Barre Opera House for another unforgettable, highly energetic evening celebrating the world of burlesque, live music, the performing arts and community. Now entering its 14th year, the festival continues a tradition of bringing audiences together to experience a vibrant mix of risqué performance, creativity, and artistic expression—all celebrating the human body in all its diversity.

The Granite City Showcase is a full evening experience. Guests will arrive to red carpet photos, adult beverage tastings, vendors, mingling, and a look back at classic Vermont Burlesque Festival performances on the big screen. The night continues with a live music performance, setting the tone before the curtain rises on a spectacular burlesque themed variety show.

Expect two acts of unforgettable entertainment featuring burlesque, comedy, live music, and unique variety performances from a diverse lineup of talented artists from around the globe—including this year’s headliner, the Burlesque Hall of Fame’s 2022 Miss Exotic World and Queen of Burlesque, Lou Lou la Duchesse de Rière!

The Vermont Burlesque Festival celebrates creativity, humor, glamour, and empowerment with the burlesque community's signature message: “All bodies are burlesque bodies.”

The evening also continues the festival’s tradition of giving back. Games, fundraisers and partial proceeds from this event help support Vermont based breast cancer research and patient support.

…And of course, why break with tradition, this is Barre, you’re still welcome to show up in your best flannel.  However, this year’s festival turns up the heat (and the frost!) with a special theme: "Fire & Ice." We challenge you to indulge your fashion creativity! Dress to impress, pose on the red carpet, and you could win tickets to next year’s event.

This event is intended for mature audiences and may contain adult humor, themes, and language.

Guests must be 21+ to participate in alcoholic tastings. Please drink responsibly.

The event is produced by EventForward and sponsored in part by Hendrick’s Gin.
