The Glenn Miller Orchestra Swings into Barre this fall. Glenn Miller is known the world over for Tuxedo Junction, In the Mood, Pennsylvania 6-5000, and Chattanooga Choo Choo. Since 1937 The Glenn Miller Orchestra has been bringing his brand of Big Band music to the world. Miller played and recorded with the likes of Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey (who on several of their records, featured an up-and-coming singer by the name of Bing Crosby), Gene Krupa, Eddie Condon and Coleman Hawkins. The Glenn Miller Orchestra stays true to its roots with rousing Big Band tunes and smooth crooning by singers Nick Hilscher and Hannah Truckenbrod. Just as it was in Glenn’s day, the Glenn Miller Orchestra today is still the most sought after big band in the world!
