"Suicide - The Ripple Effect" - presented by WCMHS
The film chronicles the story of Kevin Hines, who at age 19 attempted to take his life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge. Since then, Kevin has been on a mission to use his story to help others stay alive and find recovery.
Suicide The Ripple Effect is part of a global mission to help reduce the number of suicides and suicide attempts around the world. Through sharing stories of survival and recovery we are creating significant awareness of this health crisis, while helping people find the support they need to stay alive, heal and #BeHereTomorrow!
WCMHS is very excited to feature a screening of this film in recognition of September being Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. We will host a question and answer afterwards to discuss the film.
This film is being featured across the state on September 25th to bring more awareness and understanding to this public health issue. Thank you to Vermont Care Partners for co-sponsoring this event with Washington County Mental Health Services.
