The Cure(d) (2024)

Set to the music and lyrics of the British rock band The Cure – The Cure(d) is a dance performance at times poignant, provocative, light hearted, dark and undeniably deeply vulnerable. Infusing  pole dancing, aerial, contemporary-modern dance and circus arts, seven neuro-diverse characters confront labeling and misunderstanding, what it means to be silenced and ultimately heard. The Cure(d) is a story dance about life, arching from young love to aging parents, this cathartic dance is for those caught in the middle of transformation, highlighting the unique abilities of those “outside the norm.” When language is no longer an option, there is only movement, music and silence.
